Sinsay Winter Sheet Mask [Nourishing] Review

By Maychiri's Thoughts - February 24, 2024

And now, the star of the show, at the very end, but not because it is the worst one! This is the Sinsay Winter Sheet Mask, variant Nourishing!

Oh there was no chance I would miss this sheet mask! I looove penguins, I think they’re such goofy and adorable birds... it’s really hard not to like them! And I love cute things. So when I saw this sheet mask on Sinsay's webshop I simply had to order it immediately! I mean look at it, it’s way too adorable! But it was only available as a set with 2 other sheet masks... doesn’t matter, if I have to order two other masks in order to get this mask then do be it! I will get my lil Pengi! I’m so excited to finally try out this mask, the last of the Winter Sheet Masks! So, let’s see whether it is as good as I hope it is!

Packaging: a plastic sachet, as usual for sheet masks. All the information is in the back, and there is a lot of it. But, as would like to focus on the front side because omg is it too adorable! I love the white colour with the dark red text, it’s already an awesome combo by itself but it actually matches the colour of the Pengu's scarf and bow! Aww what an adorable baby penguin! She looks so cosy and warm in that scarf, aww! What a happy baby! And she’s got a fancy bow on her head as well! Definitely the most adorable design of the three Winter sheet masks, no surprise! Pengs are adorable by nature!

Ingredients: glycerine, betaine, coffee (Coffea arabica) seed extract, ginseng (Panax ginseng) root extract, fig (Ficus carica) fruit water, sea water/maris aqua, allantoin, hyaluronic acid for nourishment. No parabens. This list seems quite nourishing and hydrating, I hope it will actually be like that on my skin! Although, it kinda frightens me that coffee is so high up the list as someone who is absolutely not able to tolerate any kind of caffeine... well, I guess I won’t be ingesting it so it doesn’t matter too much! Besides, my skin has enjoyed caffeine in the past. Holding high hopes for this! Hmm, the smell is honestly really not good. Even just reading “coffee and ginger”, I was concerned about how it could smell good with that kind of combination. And yeah, it doesn’t. It smells musty and almost like burnt plastic. I guess I can smell a bit of the coffee in it, but the ginger really ruins it. It honestly makes my nauseous. I’m so sad, I thought the Pengy would smell good... but no. The expiration date is listed along the bottom of the sachet. This sheet mask should be left on for 10 minutes – the little Peng works fast! A hard worker indeed!

The sheet is very nice! It’s drenched in serum, so much that it felt heavy when I pulled it out of the sachet! It’s not too large for my small face, which is awesome! Although it still is a bit too large so it does still crease in places, but it’s really not bad. The sheet is made of this very thin, very soft material that feels breathable but it really sticks to skin well. It’s very comfortable! But, weirdly, the black parts of the mask are stiffer and thicker than the transparent parts! Odd! This sheet is probably the best out of the three winter sheet masks

I’m so glad it’s the Pengi that is the best! Speaking of, look at that adorable print on the sheet! It’s so cute, aww! The blushing cheeks, the cute little beak, the big red bow... it’s all so very adorable, awww. Now I’m the Pengi!

The serum is very greasy but it actually doesn’t feel too heavy. It’s actually more soapy than greasy per se. Although, this may be the most comfortable formula of the three winter sheet masks! It really feels pleasant... until it dries! Then it becomes very tacky, which I really don’t like. It’s like a cast on my skin. But I still like it the best out of the three winter masks.

Hmm, it feels mostly hydrating while it is absorbing. Although, it does also feel like it is nourishing my skin somewhat, although not as much as I thought. Still, it’s a pretty nice feeling. I love how there’s a slightly cooling sensation, it’s for sure something a penguin would like! Bit, as the 10 minutes are coming to a close, I am starting to feel the tiniest bit of prickling on my forehead. I may be imagining it, but it’s not very nice. Oh well, at least it is barely noticeable!

Now, 10 minutes are up and I can see the results finally! Yay! My skin looks really good! Not like the best it ever has, but it’s definitely happy with this mask! My skin feels hydrated and yes, nourished, but, again, not as much as I thought. It also feels calm. As for how it looks? Well, it looks brighter and more awake, especially in the undereye area... I guess this makes sense, the serum does have coffee in it! Pores look like they’re narrower, which gives the entire face a more refreshed appearance.

It’s also a bit plumper, which isn’t very visible on most of the face, but I did notice significant improvement under my eyes! The mid cheek crease is much less visible now, proving that the skin is definitely nourished and plumper. However, it doesn’t calm down blemishes. They’re just as red and inflamed as before. I honestly did not expect it to do anything for acne, so I’m still overjoyed with well my skin tolerated this mask. No, not tolerated, loved! The same amount of love this lil peng-peng shares with me, my skin shows the peng! Aww, the Pengi is perfect!

My skin looks so healthy and hydrated the next morning! It’s obviously still nourished from the night before, and it sure shows it! The mid-cheek crease is still less visible than usual; the entire face looks more plump! Aww, I’m so happy! The Pengi did her best and my skin showed her so much gratitude! Yis :>

In conclusion, yay, the Peng-Peng is the best mask of the three! And the only one that actually does have visible and long-lasting effects on my skin. It makes my skin look and feel healthy and nourished, with it being visibly plumper and in better condition. It doesn’t really prevent or fill in fine lines, but it does seem to help with areas that lack fullness due to stress and/or sleep deprivation, such as the cheeks. Indeed, I have developed more visible mid cheek creases from all this exhaustion and poor health and this mask helped fill it in with only one use! Not completely, mind you, but it was noticeably fuller! And it’s definitely more hydrated. Although, with all that said, it doesn’t help with acne; it is still as inflamed and unhappy as before but, because the rest is so good, I don’t mind this too much. The serum is not the most comfortable though, as it is soapy and greasy and very tacky after it dries. But at least it feels lightweight! And the sheet is so very comfortable as well! It was literally drenched in serum, so much that it almost started dripping when I pulled it out of the sachet! And the material is super soft and so very stretchy, which makes it easy to fit over the face properly. At least, that’s if you don’t have a small face like I do! But even on my smaller face it still fits pretty well, with not a lot of creasing. It also adheres superbly to the skin, ensuring that the serum really absorbs deeply! And it’s soo adorable! Look at the little blushing Pengi face! Aww! Words cannot describe how happy I am that this mask specifically is so good! I really love penguins, I think they’re extremely adorable, so I had high hopes for this mask. Fortunately, it is as good as I was hoping it would be! The only reason that I have the other two Winter Sheet Masks is because of this one – I wanted a Pengu sheet mask, but if having it means I have to order it as a set of 3 masks then so be it! As long as I get my Pengling! And now it turns out this is the best of the three?? This is a dream come true... ahh, I knew the lil Pengu had it in her! I’m so happy :> , like real happy! And yes, I will recommend it – how could I not? Now it’s time to say bye bye to the lil Pengli and thank it for being such a good pal!
