And now the third, and last review for this week. This is
the Garnier SkinActive Cherry Lip Mask.

I didn’t use lip masks before this one. I thought that lip
balms and lip oils would suffice. But, hearing that it’s so awesome and that it
really works and whatnot, it really made me curious, curious enough to try it
out. So when I saw it at my local DM I had to buy it. I mean, everybody needs a
little extra TLC from time to time, why should my lips be an exception? But
does it really live up to the hype? Maybe! Let's check it out!

Packaging: just a pouch, like most sheet masks. This one
has a really lovely print of sour cherries that look so delicious and juicy. I
like the soothing baby pink colour! The back is crowded with a ton of text, as
usual for Garnier sheet masks. The front is quite eye-catching and elegant, I
really like it! And I like that the pouch is satiny, that makes it look expensive!

Ingredients: glycerine, panthenol/provitamin B5, sour/bitter
cherry (Prunus cerasus) fruit extract, hyaluronic acid for nourishment. No
parabens. I see that there’s also calcium in here, interesting! The scent is heavenly
and quite intense! It smells like the freshest cherries, with a bit of a milky,
sweet undertone. It reminds me of a cherry sorbet! So delicious!
The expiration
date isn’t marked anywhere. I could put the batch code in a decoder and then
add 3 years from the manufacturing date, but I don’t really feel like it. I use
these masks often enough, so they’re not going to go off. The mask should be
left on the lips for 15 minutes; a bit long, but not too much.

I love how the sheet literally sticks to the skin without budging! It
adheres magnificently, much better than most other sheet masks!
The serum is quite rich; it is very milky, but still a bit
watery. It’s relatively thick, but it doesn’t feel suffocating. I like that
it’s this milky consistency because it feels really nourishing like this. It’s
not at all greasy.
This serum feels extremely hydrating and quite nourishing
while it’s drying. It is so hydrating that I can literally feel my lips sucking
in all the moisture from the sheet! By the time the 15 minutes are over the
sheet feels noticeably drier because of how much serum my lips have absorbed by
then. However, it is a bit too thick for the rest of my skin, as it feels
slightly occlusive and thick. I can feel a slightly warming sensation, both on
my lips, and especially around my lips. That’s what I was talking about, the
serum being too thick for my skin, but being perfect for my lips.

So, 15 minutes later. My lips feel so hydrated and
regenerated and just happy! All the chapped parts are gone, and they look absolutely
amazing; they are much more plump (and kissable!) and totally smooth and look
so soft! Incredible results! The only thing that’s a bit of a bummer is that
this serum feels quite tacky after absorbing, which is quite unpleasant on the
skin surrounding my lips. It doesn’t cause any irritations or breakouts,
thankfully. The serum is feather light after it’s been absorbed, despite the
tackiness.
Next morning my lips still feel nourished and super
hydrated. In fact, they may be even softer and more hydrated in the morning. They
are still incredibly plump and even, making them a perfect base for lip
products! Seriously, lipsticks look so much better after using this mask! Naturally,
since my lips are in their best condition!
In conclusion, this is a bloody brilliant lip mask! The
first lip mask I ever used and it is phenomenal! My lips obviously love this
serum very much! Just look at how plumper and happier they look! I didn’t
really expect much, just that it would hopefully remove chapped areas and
soften my lips at least a little bit. What I got is so much more! My lips feel
and look incredibly good; they are visibly plumper and smoother, without any
flakes or chapped parts. Also, they feel totally hydrated, which is such a
great feeling when my lips usually feel somewhat dry without any lip balms.
Especially in winter! Now, with this mask, I can skip the lip balm the next day
and my lips will still be just as soft and nourished until the end of the day!
The serum is pleasantly thick and milky; it definitely feels like a rich,
nourishing serum alright! And the sheet! Wow, the sheet is beyond spectacular!
It’s made of this super soft, breathable mesh material that adheres like super
glue to the lips and skin, ensuring that the serum will be absorbed properly. If
only it was smaller, as the sheet covers pretty much my entire lower face. And
the serum isn’t the most comfortable on skin; on lips it is divine, but it is
simply too thick for the skin. And the results don’t stop here; my lips stayed plump
and soft and nourished for at least 24 hours! The results are astounding, and
this mask doesn’t even cost that much, either! I highly, highly recommend it to
everyone, especially if you tend to get dry, chapped lips often or if you have
sensitive lips like me!
