Alright, last, but certainly not least, this is the Clueless
X Makeup Revolution Lip Gloss, shade Cher!
Look, if I am getting the Cher lip liner, you can bet that I
will also get the matching lip gloss! Clueless is such an important film to me
in terms of fashion and how I approach it. I remember watching it as a small
girl (as opposed to a small woman that I am now haha), and being astonished by
all the funky and cute outfits. Cher was always my favourite one of the three
girls, she is so fancy and slays with her outfits and hairstyles! So it’s
natural that I would pick the Cher inspired variants in this LE! Well, that,
and the fact that that clear glosses are a must-have! So, how fab is this
gloss? Let’s find out!

Packaging: what a fitting cardboard back! It’s got a yellow
plaid pattern that is just like Cher's famous yellow ensemble! You know the
one. I kind of like that there’s a cardboard back that keeps the gloss safe. The
gloss itself is kept in a vacuum sealed compartment. It might be a bit cheap,
but it’s a very effective way of packaging a lip gloss. Much better than it not
having any protection at all.

The lip gloss is stunning! At its core it is a fairly
standard tube lip gloss. But there is so much added to make it truly special! I
love the pink tartan print on the tube, it is so cuuute! The cap is rose gold
and closes really tightly. Even if this were it, I would still like the design.
But. There is something else, something big. Something fluffy. Yep, there is a
big ‘ol fluffy pom-pom with a claw clasp. Oooh, so I can detach it and put it
like on my backpack, or my jeans or wherever else I’d like! That’s genius!
Out
of the three Clueless items I have, this is the only one to have a detachable
pom-pom. I honestly appreciate this so much. The pom-pom is like the softest
thing ever! It’s like petting a very fluffy cat! Aaah, so soft! And the peachy
pink colour? So fetch! Only, it likes to shed hairs! Aww, too bad! Maybe it
won’t get worse if I don’t touch it. So, yeah, be careful with the pom-pom, if
you don’t want it to shed all its hairs.

Ingredients: vitamin E, dog rose (Rosa canina) fruit/rosehip
oil, jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis) seed oil for nourishment. No parabens. So
that’s why it feels so luxuriously slick on lips! It’s got some quite powerful
oils! The scent is intense and not particularly pleasant to me, although it is
a classic that many will surely love. It smells synthetic, and extremely sweet.
It’s that bubblegum scent that used to be so common in the 90’s and early 00’s.
It tastes exactly the same as it smells. So when it inevitably gets into your
mouth it will be like you are chewing bubblegum. I don’t like this flavour,
never have, but I guess it’s not that terrible. I can deal with it. The
expiration date is 18 months after opening.

This is a clear gloss. It’s totally clear, no colour at all
in it. However, there is a ton of tiny, subtle shimmer particles inside it. In
reality, the shimmer is barely noticeable. You really have to look close to see
it, and even then it is very subtle. I actually like that it’s like this. I
feel like larger shimmer would take away from the glassy finish. This super
subtle shimmer only serves to enhance the plumpy, glassy finish. And it really
does! The shimmer is silvery in colour, but, again, it ends up being more clear
on the lips.
Of course, since it’s clear, it is endlessly versatile, as you can
layer it on top of any colour. This is why it’s always a good idea to have a
clear lip gloss!

If you told me that this lip gloss has an unbelievably
comfortable, luxuriously slick formula, I wouldn’t believe you. I thought it
would have that classic thicker, more gelly and goopy texture that lip glosses
used to have. Perhaps it is just bias from the retro design of the tube. Anyway,
the formula is literally perfect! It’s super oily and slick, but not at all
uncomfortable. It doesn’t feel like the oils are suffocating the lips. It just
feels luxurious and nourishing! While it is slightly heavy, it does not feel
occlusive.
Being so slick, it is then no surprise that this lip gloss is not at
all tacky. Not at any single point.
Which brings me to how ridiculously comfortable this lip
gloss is to wear! Like, it literally feels like a nourishing lip oil more than
an ordinary lip gloss! It feels surprisingly light for its oily formula, and
that doesn’t change much throughout the day! It becomes only very slightly more
creamy and thick, while still being noticeably slick and oily. Lip glosses
usually become thick and more waxy than creamy, but this one manages to keep
its wonderful formula! The shimmer is so fine that you cannot feel it. The only
thing you can feel is the hydration that rosehip and jojoba offer. The texture
of this gloss is like... I have no words that properly describe how amazing it
is! Like, it’s not just glossy. It’s so extremely high shine that it is
glassy.
Somehow, this glassy finish makes my lips much plumper and smoother!
Like, they always end up looking so juicy and plumpy and kissable! Very sexy! I
love it so much, aah!
It is extremely easy to apply this lip gloss even though it
doesn’t have a dedicated applicator. The formula has the perfect consistency to
simply slide over the entire lips without even trying. The tube has a nozzle
that is big enough to deposit a large amount of gloss all at once, but not too
much (well, that kinda depends on how much you squeeze the tube tbh!)! It’s
also flat, which makes it possible to spread the gloss across the lips using
the nozzle alone. The sharp tip aides in precisely tracing the contours of the
lips. Of course, the downside of not having a dedicated applicator is that
using the nozzle is somewhat unhygienic. Eh, that’s not the end of the world.
Especially when you’ve got a gloss that applies perfectly evenly each time,
with barely any effort!
There is absolutely no tugging or anything, it just
glides across the lips, spreading it perfectly evenly.
The longevity of this lip gloss is nothing special if you
would go and compare it to other lip products, such as lipsticks and lip liners.
Compared to them, it is poor. Compared to other glosses, however, it is better
than average! It manages to last about 2-3 hours before fading on its own. At
that point it is about half-gone, like, you can still feel the oiliness, but
not as noticeably as before. After that, though, it begins to fade more
severely, completely disappearing by hour 6. To be fair, there are so few lip
glosses that do manage to last the entire day and stay in great condition. I
have stopped expecting that. This is much better than I expected, so I am
happy. Most importantly, it keeps the lips hydrated during these few hours, so
that they don’t feel at all dried out. In fact, they feel softer and plumper
after a day of wearing it! Further proving how nourishing it really is! Another
thing this gloss shares with most others is that food destroys it. No matter
what kind of food, greasy or not, it will make the lip gloss disappear. I mean,
with such an oily, slick formula, how could it not? This was the only logical
thing to assume would happen. So it doesn’t disappoint me or annoy me.
Especially when it is so easy to apply! So, yeah, you’ll have to reapply it
throughout the day to keep the glassy, high gloss finish. Not a problem, in my
opinion.

Removal: well, since it is so slick and not at all tacky, it
is extremely easy to remove. It doesn’t leave any stains or sticky residue and
the fine shimmer doesn’t create a mess. Applied in seconds, removed in seconds!
All in all, what a fabulous, amazing lip gloss, y’all! I
literally have nothing bad to say about it! Like, it is stupidly good! The
packaging is wayy cute, just check out that big fluffy pom-pom! It’s su fluffy
and soft and just perfect! And you can detach it and attach it wherever you
want to! Want to bling up your bag with it? You can! Want to attach it to the zip
of your jacket? You sure can! The tube is soft and easy to squeeze, making it
simple and easy to use! Just squeeze out a small amount and spread it out with
the nozzle! You won’t have any problems because the formula is sooo wonderful
and smooth and slick! It also feels oily and a tiny bit heavy, but not nearly
as much as you’d expect it to be! It feels comfortable and nourishing and you
wouldn’t believe what it does to the lips! Like, my lips look so plumpy and utterly
gorgeous! And that’s without any chili or ginger or any other plumping
ingredients; the formula is really perfectly crafted to be plumping and
hydrating. It is also super glossy, like, it’s polished like glass! I love this
super glassy finish! It’s so juicy and attractive! Now, yeah, this lip gloss
doesn’t last very long on lips before it starts fading, but most lip glosses
are like this, so I don’t mind it. It lasts about 3 hours before it starts
fading noticeably, but even after that, it still feels hydrating, nourishing
and oily. Food destroys it, no surprise there. But honestly, I don’t mind
reapplying it, as it actually makes my lips softer! Weird how this is like a
mix of a lip oil and lip gloss! The hydration of one and glossy texture of the
other. Never did I ever think that this lip gloss would be this fantastic!
Like, I don’t know what Revolution have done here, but they’ve clearly made a
miracle! I will happily give this lip gloss the highest recommendation, it
deserves it!
