Now that we’ve seen the clear brow gel, I guess we should
use something to comb through it so that it’s well-blended! How about this
Essence Fluffy Dreams Lash & Brow Spoolie?

This was one unexpected LE! Fluffy Dreams was a limited
edition featuring only makeup brushes. I love the symbol they chose to
represent this LE: a feather. Probably because the brushes feel as soft as a
feather, right? I originally wanted a few of them, as the lavender handle with
pure white hairs really drew me in, but I realised I probably don’t need a
bunch of pure white brushes. Pure white hairs are extremely easy to discolour,
and then I am sad because they’re no longer snow-white. So I limited myself to
just one, but which one would be the best? Hmm, an eyebrow spoolie is always
useful, and easier to maintain than big fluffy brushes! Right, that settles it
– spoolie it is! So, let’s check out this calming lavender-coloured spoolie!
What’s it like? Is it a good spoolie?

Packaging: the spoolie came in a thin plastic tube that was transparent,
allowing you to see the spoolie inside. It’s a very simple type of packaging,
not really the best one, since it didn’t have a sponge on either end to prevent
the spoolie from rattling inside. The only detail is the sticker with
information about this spoolie.
The spoolie itself is beautiful! It’s got a lavender purple
handle that is such a soothing colour! The ferrule matches the colour of the
details on the handle, as they’re both rose gold. The details are just the
Essence logo and a feather that represents this limited edition. The bristles
of the spoolie are pure white. This is such a good colour combination! Very
soothing design!

The bristles of this spoolie are synthetic (of course) and
feel quite soft. Of course, they’re always going to be slightly scratchy, but
for a spoolie, it’s softer than usual. They are firm and look like they are
very well-made; no fraying and the bristles look even on all sides.

This spoolie is excellent! It is as easy to use as any
spoolie, really, but it makes brows look so good! It combs through them in just
the right way to make them look fluffy and natural. It also spreads brow
product evenly across the entirety of the brows, so that your brows always look
natural, even with product in them. It’s also firm enough to be able to spread brow
liners evenly, which can be pretty tricky otherwise! I sincerely love this
spoolie!
Washing? Some might say, “well, why are you washing a
spoolie?”, but even spoolies must be cleaned every once in a while as product
buildup becomes a bigger problem. You just have to be careful not to be too
rough with the bristles and everything will be okay. The spoolie doesn’t absorb
shampoo and it is easy to rinse out shampoo. Although, since the bristles are
snow-white, they may end up discoloured from particularly hard-to-wash products
such as brow liners.
All in all, a truly fantastic spoolie! It’s high quality and
feels really nice to use. The bristles are softer than usual for spoolies but
are pretty firm so that they can brush through brows efficiently. And they sure
do! With just a few swipes your brows will look naturally fluffy and neatly
combed. This spoolie also blends brow products like a champ and it spreads
them evenly so that your brows always look natural. It’s precise enough to be
able to comb individual hairs with ease if you use the tip of the spoolie. And
it also deals well with washes, as it keeps it s shape and doesn’t get frayed.
I am really, really happy with this spoolie, but then again, Essence spoolies
are always awesome! Now I can fulfill every fluffy dream I had with my brows!
