Catrice Art Couleurs Eyeshadow [390 - Lime Pie] Review
By Maychiri's Thoughts - September 21, 2025
Let's continue with the Catrice Art Couleurs Eyeshadow, in the shade 390/Lime Pie, which was part of the Spring 2022 Collection!
Yes, I already have quite a few Art Couleur eyeshadows , but so far they have all been amazing, and every time I was surprised by just how good they are! So, seeing as mints and pastel colours were trendy for Spring 2022, I thought that I could grab this shade to have in my collection. I was quite interested by the colour, and how it would look on my skin. So, let’s see!
Firstly, the packaging: it’s really simple but kind of sleek. It’s a clear plastic case inside which is the (removable!) eyeshadow pan. It’s clear so you don’t need to open it to see the colour. I like this design!

The pigmentation is out of this world intense! Like, even on my pale skin this was so intensely pigmented that I had to blend it out vigorously but even then it stayed really intense. Speaking of which, the colour itself isn’t too helpful when it comes to the intensity of pigmentation. This is a a very, very light pastel green with some yellow tones; in fact, it looks almost silver on my lids because of how light it is.
I like the colour as a highlighting shade, on its own it’s way too light for my tastes. As can be seen on the pictures, when used with a darker shade, it looks gorgeous.
The texture is super shimmery, to the point of almost being metallic. Due to the extremely shimmery texture there is a tiny bit of fall-out and the shimmer can be a bit hard to control exactly where you want to place it. Application was incredibly easy with fingers, although I struggled when I tried to apply it with a brush. I think that it’s so easy to apply because the formula of this eyeshadow isn’t powdery but soft, almost creamy; that means that it also feels really soft and a bit creamy on my lids too.
This eyeshadow is fairly easy to blend, but it blends much easier using fingers; I expected it to blend more easily, like the other Art Couleurs shades.

Now, as most Art Couleurs before, this shade is also extremely long-lasting, having basically no creasing whatsoever after 6 hours of wearing it. That is awesome, given how oily my lids usually are!
Removing this eyeshadow was a breeze using an oil-based remover; I do suspect that it might be more difficult to remove all the shimmer using just micellar water, though.

All in all, this was another great eyeshadow by Catrice in their Art Couleurs range! I would suggest using as a highlighting shade on the inner corners or on the browbone rather than using it solo across the entire lid. I really liked how soft it feels, how incredibly long-lasting it is, and how easy it was to apply. But, there always has to be something, right? And there is: the texture is a bit too shimmery for me, and coupled with the excellent pigmentation and the bright pastel green colour it looks even more extreme and almost metallic. Now, this is perfect for a futuristic type of look, but in my opinion it is a bit too much if you only use this shade for a casual look. Nonetheless, the quality is very good so I will recommend it!
