Catrice Art Couleurs Eyeshadow [110 - Chocolate Cake by the Ocean] Review

Ah, another Catrice Art Couleurs Eyeshadow, this time, shade 110/Chocolate Cake by the Ocean!
  
 
I actually wasn’t planning to buy this eyeshadow, but as soon as I saw it in the discount area of BIPA, and that it was 50% off, I had to buy it. As an added bonus, BIPA had one of their 30% off all makeup weekend promotions that weekend, so I got an even bigger discount! But is this eyeshadow worth it?
 
 
 
 
 
The packaging is very simple, just a clear plastic square pan from which you can remove the eyeshadow by pressing the underside of the pan up. The lid closes tightly, and it is pretty easy to open. All in all, the packaging feels solid and nice.

The ingredients include vitamin E for nourishment, and there are no parabens. The scent is very subtle, a bit soapy. The expiration date is 12 months after opening.
 
 
 
 
Pigmentation is seriously good, but it is so close to my skintone that it can be a bit difficult to notice. Nevertheless, I think that this shade is really beautiful. It’s a muted cool brown nude colour.
 
 
 
 
 
 
The texture is shimmery and it is so easy to apply; there is no fallout while applying it, and it just sticks to my oily eyelids so nicely. It’s equally easy to apply it using a brush or using your fingers, and I usually prefer to apply shimmers with my fingers. It feels soft on my lids.. It’s exceptionally easy to blend out.
 
 
 
 
 
In terms of longevity, it is really long-lasting, although it does crease a lot on my oily eyelids when I don’t use a primer underneath. To be honest, this didn’t surprise me, as this is a shimmery eyeshadow, and they almost always crease on my lids.
 
 
 
 
 
When you want to remove it, it’s very easy to do, using just micellar water. Just one swipe nd that’s it!

To sum up, this is great little, affordable eyeshadow! There are a ton of different colour options to choose from in this range of eyeshadows, so there is something for everyone. This nude beige shade is gorgeous, easy to apply and pretty long-lasting. The caveat is that it creases a lot, which isn’t really good. But even with that, I think that everyone should try at least one shade from this range, as it is really cheap, especially if you find them on sale, like I did! I recommend it wholeheartedly!
