This is the first review for this week, the Essence Eyebrow
Spoolie!

This is one of those kinds of things that everyone ought to
have. An eyebrow spoolie is extremely useful and is just as easy to learn to
use for beginners. So I see no reason why someone wouldn’t have one if they can
afford it, and this spoolie is super cheap. So I bought it, despite already
having a few spoolies, but I just wanted to complete the basic Essence brush
collection. Let’s see how good it is!

The spoolie itself is very, very thin. Like, I was honestly
surprised when I unpacked it and held it in my hand, it’s super thin and I
feel, for some reason, a bit scared of holding it too tightly for fear of
it breaking. Although it is really robust actually, despite how thin it is. The
handle is white with a peach coloured Essence logo and ‘Eyebrow spoolie’ text.
Quite minimalistic, but I really like the minimalism and I really like the
white handle. The ferrule is rose gold. The spoolie hairs are black and look high
quality! There is no fraying of the fibres even after a few washes and I use it
very often, so it’s great that it’s still in mint condition!

The fibres feel rather soft and not one bit scratchy. They
are very densely packed and aren’t shiny. They are actually quite matte.
This is a fantastic spoolie, but then again, most are! Essence
spoolies are always super easy to use and blend amazingly! This spoolie
continues that trend! It only takes a couple of seconds to get nice, fluffy
looking eyebrows!

It’s also super easy to wash. Now, spoolies aren’t supposed
to be washed too regularly, but they do need a deep cleanse every once in a
while. I use a bit of foam brush cleanser and gently scrub the spoolie fibres
with my fingers, then wash it under lukewarm water and carefully dry it with a
towel. That way it becomes really soft again and is clean and ready to be used
again.
Conclusion: this is a fantastic spoolie! Essence very rarely
disappoints when it comes to makeup brushes, and this spoolie continues the
trend. It’s extremely thin but not as fragile as you might assume based on how
thin it is. The fibres are dense and very high quality and not at all scratchy.
The spoolie blends superbly and it is so easy to get great, fluffy brows or a
perfectly blended pencil/powder. I really love it, so it will get a definite
recommendation!
