Ciao!
Or, well, hello there! [insert General Kenobi meme here]
Not a whole lot today to show because I woke up and decided to finish stuff I was putting off for so long due to both the extreme temperatures and PMDD crashing out. BUT - today is the day to start marking things off my list, starting with this! And what is this? Well, a very interesting duo face mask that DM had last year, before (seemingly) retiring it.
I must say that I did notice this mask on the shelves but I just never paid much attention to it. I hadn't had the best experience with Alverde face masks by the point I got this mask, so I just ignored it. My skin is - at best - sensitive and - at worst - so reactive that even gentle products will wreck it. And since my breakouts are hormonal, they come back every luteal phase - with a vengeance. So I have to be careful what I use and not be too reckless with skincare experiments. So... why am I reviewing this mask, then? Sensible question!
It's because I did not buy it - my mother did. She got it and just handed it to me when she got home. She and I... we don't share anything in common in terms of skin type, skin conditions etc, so what I need and what she thinks may be good are two completely different things. Bless her heart, she tried, though. So the least I could do is try this mask out and see what it's like, and hope it being 'natural' wouldn't destroy my skin microbiome further. One note: my skin was in particularly bad shape when I tried this mask, as you'll see. So if there would be any improvements, I would definitely notice them with such horrid skin condition. This is just the reality I have to live in, because PMDD ain't getting any better the older I am... anyways, what I am saying is that I was the best candidate to see how good this mask truly is. Nowadays, my skin is in better condition, with fewer pimples (and those that do appear are far less cystic and painful)... touch wood! But if you want to see what this mask is like for truly acne-ridden, oily skin, then do read the review! This is quite an interesting mask because it has both a day and night component - not something I would normally ever buy as it would interfere with my morning routine. So it is actually good that my mother bought me this, so that I can try something I probably never would!
Now, the only review for today:
See you soon!
