Another piece of skincare... or, rather, lip care! There already was a lip mask inside the calendar, so they had no real need to put in a lip patch as well, but it’s probably to match the eye patches. You know, the undereye shouldn’t be the only place getting extra TLC! I love to use lip patches from time to time, to give my lips some extra (very much needed) hydration; my lips tend to become dry and cracked so I always need to use lip balms and stuff... so this lip mask is certainly going to be very useful to me. Especially if they are going to be as good as the eye patches! I am really looking forward to this patch, let’s finally check it out!
 
 
 
 
Packaging: plastic sachet, as is usual for sheet masks, lip and eye masks. Although, it is a beautiful sachet! It looks like some kind of fancy envelope, like you are getting an invitation to a private soirée! I love the light lilac colour, it is a departure from the rest of the calendar, yet it still fits in with the them so nicely! Of course, there’s art deco details, and they have, among other colours, reflective gold parts! This makes the sachet look very expensive and luxurious! 
 
 
 
Really classy! The back is where you’ll find information about the patch, in dark purple colour, which is a fantastic colour to use with the light lilac. The patch sits on a piece of plastic inside, so that it is safe during transport. Although, that does make it a bit harder to get out. I am really impressed with this whole design, wow!
 
 
Ingredients: glycerine, squalane, yuzu (Citrus junos) fruit extract, ceramide, hyaluronic acid, coconut (Cocos nucifera) fruit extract, Baikal skullcap (Scutellaria baicalensis) root extract, allantoin, Baltic pine (Pinus sylvestris) leaf extract for nourishment. No parabens. Wow, this ingredients list sounds very promising! It looks very hydrating and nourishing, this should definitely help my lips regenerate! At least, I hope. Also, I am noticing plenty of similarities between this lip patch and the eye patches. And, since the eye patches had very impressive results, this is filling me with hope for this patch! The scent is barely noticeable. It smells just a tad plasticy I want to say, but that could just be the smell of the sachet or the piece of plastic that houses the patch.  The expiration date is not listed anywhere. This patch should be left on for just 10 minutes! Wonderful! I like fast-acting masks!
 
 
 

 
Oh, this is one large hydrogel patch! Although, most lip patches are huge on me as my face is smaller than average. I usually don’t like this, but, since this serum is so lightweight, it doesn’t feel like it is suffocating the skin on my chin. The hydrogel is floppy, which, while it may be fun, can make it adhere a bit less than ideal. But honestly, it sticks to skin much, much better than I thought! It’s like it creates a sort of vacuum, which makes it literally stick to lips so that the maximum amount of serum can be absorbed.
 
 
 
 
Awesome! The hydrogel is relatively thin, at least, as far as hydrogels go. It feels pretty comfortable because of this, although, don’t try to talk while the lip patch is on as it will slide all around. As long as you keep your mouth shut, it stays in place like it’s glued, which is more than plenty of other hydrogels can say!
 
 
 
 
This serum is extremely lightweight because it is mostly watery. It doesn’t feel greasy or occlusive on my lips, just very hydrating. And because it is so light, it is able to reach deeper layers of the skin, to truly hydrate your lips! However, the serum does become tacky after it dries, which is very annoying. And it absorbs so well that my lips feel dry again for some reason, but they aren’t, they are just hydrated optimally.
 
 

 
I cannot say that I feel all that much while the serum is absorbing, it just feels very hydrating, though, that is already fantastic! The one thing my lips sorely need is hydration, and this seems to deliver just that! It feels so intensely hydrating, like my lips are going to be super supple the next day from all this H2O! But besides that, I don’t think I feel much of anything else. Still, this is enough for me!
 
 

 
And... ten minutes later, my suspicions were correct – this lip patch absolutely does intensely hydrate the lips! I love how soft and smooth they feel! It feels like every last bit of dehydration has been quenched, leaving me with supple lips that just feel good. Amazingly good! Although, around 10-ish minutes after removing the patch my lips start to feel somewhat dry, but I don’t think this is real dryness. Because they don’t have those dry patches. 
 
 
 
I think this is just the serum absorbing completely, I mean, it cannot stay wet forever, can it? But one thing that blew my socks off is just how much more rosy my lips became after using the patch! They are much more vibrant rose pink than before, and this is a colourless serum so this is due to all that extraordinary hydration! I very rarely see this kind of improvement – this is magnificent! Wow! Oh, my lips sure are happy right now! Overjoyed, even!
 
 

And guess what? These results lasted well into the next day! Again, I don’t often see such long-lasting, intense results; not on my lips, anyways. My lips were supple throughout the day and felt noticeably less dry, even though I tend to breathe through my mouth. And, even though I had the lip combo from this calendar (the Lip Liner & Full Shine Lipstick, both in shade C01) on, which are both drying, my lips weren’t as dried out at the end of the day. Aw man, it sucks that this patch isn’t available normally, I wish I could use it more often as it’s a miracle worker!
 
 
 

 
 
Overall, what a fantastic lip patch! Better than most other lip patches that I had used by this point, this patch delivers long-lasting and deep hydration to dehydrated lips. My lips are just that, and mouth-breathing isn’t helping matters. So I very often have dry, patchy lips. Ergo, the need for something hydrating! And boy, this lip patch us just that! It hydrates so intensely that my lips stayed soft and dry-patch-free until the end of the following day! Talk about amazing results! And because my lips were so soft and hydrated, all lip products applied way more easily. My lips didn’t even feel dried out by the end of the day, which is what usually happens. Instead, they just felt good. That is exactly how I would describe it, it’s a really good feeling. Oh, and they are much more vibrant in colour as well! By this, I mean that they are more healthy rosy than before, so, whatever this lip patch did, my lips enjoyed it thoroughly! So much that they have decided to show the results visually! I cannot remember the last time this happened... it’s a miracle! Now, the hydrogel is a bit tricky to set in place, but once you do, it stays there. It doesn’t slide around like many other lip patches... at least, not until you start talking! So I advise staying quiet because it loses the vacuum it formed between the lips if you open them. And it’s a bit large. The only other thing that I could say is ‘bothering’ me is that the serum becomes tacky after it absorbs fully but if that’s the only major problem (not even the hydrogel!!!), then I am a happy camper! Very, very happy! I just wish I could buy this again, I already miss it...
