Hiya!
So... last week was quite eventful - too eventful, even!
First, I have to 100% finish TES IV: Oblivion Remastered before my Game Pass subscription runs out, which is extremely difficult to do on such a tight deadline like what I have. But I am confident that I will be able to finish it on time.
Then, it was Eurovision week and that always consumes all of my time - even if we don't qualify for the finals (which we didn't... Poison Cake just wasn't good enough). I am an ESC fan - always have been - so I have to watch both semi-finals (which are on Tuesdays and Thursdays), and the final (which is on Saturdays) live. As each show lasts 2+ hours, you can imagine that it takes way too much of my time, and that doesn't even include the time spent discussing the show on- and offline! Although, thank god for Austria, they saved the world, they really did. It would have been a disaster had Israel won... anyways!
AND ALSO... it was my birthday last Wednesday! Since it was still the good part of the month for me, I wanted to take the time for some self-care, at least on my birthday. I also ordered some stuff that I was super excited for! Some clothes and shoes and perfumes, mostly. And a "gizmo" or two!
So you see why I just wasn't able to post this on time - between shopping for groceries, picking up parcels and all of the above... yeah, time is running short. But here we are now, with something that I myself never thought I would actually buy (no, it's not the perfume)!

So, what is very summery? Well, bold, neon colours of course! Both the eyeliner and nail polish feature quite bright colours. The lip oil seems to be tinted as well, but it probably isn't too visible on the lips - at least, I hope it isn't because that lime green wouldn't be good! The eyeliners are by far the most neon and bright - definitely not what I'd wear normally but it is summery I guess. Also, the eyeliner is waterproof - perfect for swimming!

Now the other item - the perfume! I really like to try out various perfumes and I am not at all stuck up about "cheap perfumes". Look, "cheap" perfumes can be every bit as good as expensive ones, so there is no point in being all like: "eww, cheap crap perfumes!!" I go in always with a neutral mindset, and besides, this brand has been on my radar for quite some time now. I just couldn't settle on what perfume exactly I would order.
But this one sounded so delicious! The name alone already sounds very promising: vanilla with candy apple? Ooooh! That is so wintry and cosy and just so awesome-sounding! I also love the design of the cardboard box, it is so fun and playful! I, myself, am not a big fan of circuses (I cannot be, not with coulrophobia), but I still appreciate such attention to detail. Is it a very busy design? Oh yeah, but it's also whimsical! It reminds me of Magic Town from Sims 1... might just play the spooky music from it to set the mood.
The flacon continues this fun design theme! I love how it's rounded - just like an apple! The deep red colours ties it well with the outer packaging while also helping it look even more like a red delicious apple. It'd not an extravagant design by any means, but it is super fun. I just dislike the fact that it has no real cap, just that little stopper thingy. I feel more secure when there's an actual cap.
Oh my! The scent is... it's marvellous! The scent pyramid is as such: top notes are orange, candy apple, heart notes are praline and red apple, base notes are vanilla and musk. However, I really cannot smell the orange on the initial spritz; it actually smells like the juiciest red apples. After a few minutes, the slightly citrusy tones appear, but they blend so well with the overall sweetness of the profile that it never smells harsh. Indeed, this perfume smells soft and comforting. At times, it even smells a bit cashmere-like or caramelly, this probably comes from the pralnes. It doesn't take long for both red apple and praline to start dominating, giving this perfume a very sweet, fun and kinda seductive aura. To me, it doesn't smell sickeningly sweet, although some may find it a bit juvenile. To me this is definitely a young adult (like, 22) type of perfume, for when you are still that carefree and young but becoming more experienced with what it means to be an adult. Most of the time, this perfume smells like chocolate pralines filled with apple and caramel filling, which is something that is absolutely perfect to me!
Now, this perfume is somewhat heavy, so it is by far best in winter. It is far too heavy for spring or summer. Its sillage is okay; it's far from the most intense perfume sillage-wise, but it is also not that weak. You can smell it on others from a decent distance, though I would prefer a better sillage. The longevity is better, though I suck at correctly determining how long perfumes last on me :/ . It seems like it lasts a few hours on me, then it becomes too weak to be noticed and the musk and vanilla are not intense enough. So you'd need to reapply it once-twice during the day, probably.
I really love this perfume and how it mixes with the natural scent of my skin. It becomes so sweet and gentle and so much like pralines. It is a fantastic perfume for winter and well-worth checking out. After all, it only costs around 10 eur. It takes me back to when I was younger... I highly recommend this eau de parfum, it is awesome! Although, if you prefer "serious" perfumes, this won't be for you.
Now, after that mini review, here's the only full-size review for today:
See you soon!
