New Stuff - Part 55

By Maychiri's Thoughts - February 23, 2025

Oops... I might have accidentally missed posting last week. That was NOT intentional, I was just having... a week, shall we say. But in a good way!

Anyways, welcome back to this week's review! This time, I have something a little bit different - but very necessary!

So, it's no secret that I have... um, a LOT of nail polishes. I even provided a picture - look, the entire drawer is full to the brim with nail polishes. Hell, it's so full that I have had to prepare another drawer just to keep the newer bought nail polishes! Is it a problem? Maybe. Well, it certainly is for one reason: drying out. Nail polishes tend to dry out to some degree after a long time, especially if they aren't being moved constantly (i.e. they are in storage). I've already had a few nail polishes become more goopy and hard to spread, which I had to throw away because the only thing I had to thin them out was acetone, which isn't a good thing to use for this purpose. If only there was something that could thin them out...

These aren't even all of my nail polishes...

Well, lucky me, then, because Essence happened to release a nail polish thinner! I literally gasped when I saw it because the only other option was to spend a lot of money importing a Seche Restore from the US Amazon. And with this economy? Yeah, that wasn't going to happen. But Essence was like "gotchu babe" and decided to release this thinner as part of their, then new, refresh (I believe it was the Spring/Summer 2024 refresh). This was a bloody miracle so I rushed to - wherever - just to try and snag it! I found it at Müller luckily, and didn't waste a moment grabbing it!

The perfume was something I was lowkey obsessed with. Yeah, it's a cheap perfume and it probably doesn't last long or have a good sillage, but I cannot remember the last time I smelled a perfume that smells legitimately like the freshest coconuts! So summery and perfect!

Just a note: like all good things, this nail polish thinner was on the chopping block for this season's clearance sale. I felt a slight pain in my heart when I saw the 50% off sticker on it... well, I bought another one just in case. It will last a very long time so now I am good for a very long time. Still, such a shame, as this is a necessity...

Now, the only review for today:

See you soon!

PS: speaking of Essence's product refreshes... keep your eyes peeled in the coming days - you never know what you might find!
