Here’s another quick little review, this time the Guilia

This brand (Guilia Beauty is actually part of InCase of
Beauty) was new in Müller at the time this brush was bought, and it was gone as
quickly as it appeared. Probably because of how insanely low priced these
brushes are! This is the last one I wanted from this brand, as I already have a
couple others and they were quite nice. I wasn’t even aware that it was 50%
off, costing only 1€, which was awesome. This is a classic eyeshadow brush, or
as described on the website, a Softener Brush 203.
Packaging: it came tied to a piece of cardboard with a clear
plastic cover keeping the hairs safe. It’s a cheap type of packaging, but it
works.

As for the brush, it is a wooden brush with a metallic
ferrule and synthetic hairs that are ombre dark brown/beige coloured. The
handle is made of real wood that seems like beechwood perhaps? The ferrule is
quite pretty, being rose gold coloured.
As mentioned, the hairs are synthetic and feel quite a bit
better than what the price might lead you to assume. I like the ombre colour of the
hairs. They feel soft enough and don’t look nor feel cheaply made. The hairs
don’t fray at all and they are cut evenly, aside from perhaps a couple of hairs
at both sides. I am satisfied with them, given the price.

Now, even though it is a ‘Softener Brush’, their name for a
blending brush I guess, it actually applies pigment very evenly and it picks up
a lot of it. It is not the most precise brush but as it’s meant to be a general
use eyeshadow brush I am not surprised. The hairs just aren’t closely packed
enough for the brush to be precise. And you’d be surprised that it isn’t
actually very good at blending; it struggles a bit and takes some time to
actually blend eyeshadows. Pity!
This brush is super easy to wash, be it with hand soap,
special brush shampoo, or brush foam. I use a brush cleansing foam and cleaning
is done within a minute. Shampoo is quite easy to wash out.
To sum up, for the extremely low price of 1 euro this is a
fantastic brush! It is way better than I thought it would be: it’s super easy
to use, it applies pigment evenly and picks up plenty of eyeshadow, and is
extremely easy to wash. The hairs feel good on my eyelids, they aren’t sharp
and don’t seem cheap. The only downside is that it doesn’t really blend
eyeshadows well. But, everything said, this is a very good brush that I somehow
happened to come across! I would recommend it if by any chance you do happen
upon it.

But I will post this; this is a very nice brush that I just stumbled unto while I was at Muller one day. They had this whole collection of brushes from this brand and they were super affordable, so I decided to buy all 3 of them to see how good they are, considering the price.

This is the review for this week, this was ordered from Zara's online shop. I already have quite a lot of eyeshadow brushes, including dense smudging brushes, but this is the first Zara brush, and it's from Zara's debut makeup collection, if I am not mistaken.

Zara Smudge Brush!

This was my first, and so far only, order from Zara's online
shop. I thought, "why not see what it’s like?", so I got this. It wasn’t too
expensive so why not indeed?

Packaging: it came in a white cardboard packaging that is so
super sleek and modern-looking, as typical of Zara products. The text was quite
hard to read as it was light gray on a white background, not a good combination.
The brush itself is incredibly sleek and modern-looking too.
It’s glossy white with one end angled and a tiny Zara logo printed on the side
(the logo is so difficult to see because again, it's very light gray on white
background). It’s a pretty small brush I must say, which is good because I can
get closer to the mirror when applying eyeshadow.

This brush has synthetic hairs. The brush hairs are black
and not terribly shiny. They feel really soft and seem like they are very well
made. And they are cut very evenly. They also don’t fray very easily.
This brush applies eyeshadows amazingly well; it picks up a
ton of pigment and applies it perfectly evenly, and due to the closely packed
hairs it is terrifically precise. The area where it is lacking is blending; it
is not terribly good at that but that is also because of the shape of the brush
(the thicker the hairs the worse it is at blending, usually).
As for how easy it is to clean, I can verify that it is
super easy to clean and wash. Even if you use shampoo that lathers up a lot it
is very easy to wash out the shampoo. I use a foam cleanser that doesn’t lather
up at a lot at all, so I don’t have to worry about suds.
All in all, this is a terrific little brush by Zara! It’s so
easy to use and it applies eyeshadows so wonderfully. It’s great for applying
eyeshadow precisely, like in the crease or in the outer V, or in the inner
corner. Washing it is also super easy, using whatever you’ve got. The only
thing that isn’t too good is how well it blends, or rather how it doesn’t blend
well at all, although that isn’t surprising given the shape of the brush. If
you do find it at Zara, I would make sure to pick it up as it’s wonderful!
Recommendation!

This nail polish was bought at BIPA, after debating for
entirely too long where to buy it from: DM, Notino, BIPA..., I just couldn’t
decide. What I did decide though, is that I wanted a neon nail polish, so why
not this neon orange/coral shade?

Colour: a beautiful neon coral/orange shade that looks more
orange than coral on my nails. It really is neon, at least in daylight. I don’t
have a blacklight so I cannot tell say whether it is truly neon.
Scent: nothing special, just your regular old nail polish
smell.

Brush: it’s excellent! It’s a big flat brush that is
terrifically precise and easy to use. I managed to evenly paint my nails with
just one swipe, that’s how big this brush is. I was not expecting it to be
anywhere near this good!

Formula is very watery but it wasn’t runny, and I had to apply
two coats for total coverage. Even with just one coat it was insanely pigmented
but with two coats it’s so fricking bright! Like, it’s literally fluorescent! Now,
if you look closely you can barely see the white tips of nails but you really have
to look really closely, so I am satisfied with the amount of coverage. The
texture is glossy but it’s pretty easy to scratch up without a top coat.

I was disappointed with the longevity of this nail polish;
it started chipping by day 2 of wearing it, and by day 3 it was pretty ugly
looking. A large amount had chipped off and there were scratches on it. I was
hoping it would last longer since it’s a really beautiful shade, such a shame! Removal
was really easy, I didn’t need to rub too hard to remove it, although I did
notice that it had stained my nails. It wasn’t that bad though, my nails were only
a bit orange.
NB: testing was done without a base or top coat.
Conclusion: I really wanted to love this nail polish. I
really did, but I am just not satisfied with its performance. It’s not
long-lasting, it is too watery for me and it has harmful ingredients. It
definitely needs both a base coat and a top coat; without a base coat you will
get stains on your nails and without a top coat it’ll get scratched up and chip
like mad. Really the only thing I like about it is the colour. Disappointing! I
am unsure whether I would recommend it.

today I will share with you my thoughts on this interesting neon nail polish from Eveline.
BIPA had a weekend special where all nail products were 30% off so I decided to buy this nail polish there instead of in DM or Notino. The two Elseve Brush Proof Creams were also bought that day as replacements since I was almost out of it, and this is my go-to product for brushing my hair. Nothing else comes close to being this good, really!

Today I have only one review for y’all, since this order had
3 perfumes and 1 nail polish. I am not really competent enough to review
perfumes in-depth, so I will just review the nail polish. This polish was
ordered as part of my regular monthly Avon order that I place (usually) at the
start of a month.
Let’s begin!

Now, Avon claims that this nail polish is an all-in-one, almost like a BB cream, but for your nails, featuring
seven benefits. To quote Avon's webpage:
“Nail colour and care in 1 bottle.
With 7 benefits your nails are in for a real treat!
1. Creamy flawless colour
2. Smooths and evens
3. Covers imperfections
4. Prevents discolouration
5.
Protects
6. Primes
7. Fills ridges”
I will examine each of these claims to see
whether it truly is all-in-one.

The packaging: it arrived in cardboard packaging with all of
the relevant information regarding this nail polish printed on it. The polish
itself looks rather sleek; it’s a thin rectangular clear bottle with a
rectangular white cap that is super secure. I really love how it looks! As for
the ingredients list, there are no harmful ingredients here, and in terms of
nourishing ingredients there is vitamin E. The expiration date is 24 months
after opening.

The colour is much prettier than I expected it to be. It’s a
very light gray that reminds me of overcast skies. The colour is really
intense! But, as I was looking for the perfect white nail polish, this wasn’t
it; it is just a smidge too gray. But that’s okay, I can have both a gray and a
white nail polish, why not? My nails looked really smooth, so that’s statement
nr. 2 proven true. It definitely covers imperfections as I had some on a few of
my nails and they weren’t visible after I applied this nail polish; that means
that statement nr. 3 is true, too. I do also believe that it fills ridges but
since I don’t have any noticeable ridges anyways I cannot say for certain
whether statement nr. 7 is true.
Now, the scent; it’s just your typical nail polish scent,
nothing extraordinary.

The brush, oh my the brush! It is truly spectacular; it’s a
round brush that is pretty long and thin. But, it really is amazing when you
paint your nails; it picks up so much pigment and really one or two strokes are
enough to paint the entire nail. It is just so great when you have such a
fantastic brush as it makes painting your nails so much easier and I was done
much faster than with other polishes that have a smaller brush.

I believe Avon when they say that this is a “creamy flawless
colour” (statement nr. 1 true!) as the formula really does feel a bit creamy
and quite thick. I actually quite like it, it feels rich and not at all heavy
on my nails, even after 2 coats. As for opacity, one coat is enough for most
people I reckon, but I thought I could faintly see my nails underneath so I
added one more coat and then it was totally opaque. So, really, don’t go for
more than 2 coats. The texture is faintly glossy, it is much more matte. I
think that that adds to the beauty of this shade.

Staying power? Man, it’s ridiculously long-lasting. It only
started to chip and flake off by day 5 of wearing it, and probably only because
I was washing my hair. I reckon that it would have lasted much longer otherwise. It
didn’t even have any chips on the edges of nails where nails usually get used
the most! That leads me to believe that it really does both prime and protect
nails, and does a splendid job at both! That’s statements nr. 5 and nr. 6
proven true. I was honestly really just astonished by how durable this polish
is, but then again, all of the Avon polishes that I have are super
long-lasting!
As for removing it? Piece of cake! I was over in less than a
minute (and by that I mean all ten of my fingernails). It’s so easy to remove!
Also, to prove that statement nr. 4 is true there wasn’t any discolouration.
Although, this is a really light-coloured nail polish, gray at that, so I
wasn’t expecting it to stain. It’s usually either the neons, reds, or dark
colours that tend to stain.
Conclusion: I am honestly in love with this nail polish!
Sure, it may not be the pure white that I was looking for, but the colour is very
pretty nonetheless! It was actually overcast while I was testing this polish
and I looked at my nails and then at the sky and it was almost a perfect match!
It looked so moody in that lighting! There aren’t any negatives to speak of,
honestly. And, if you have been keeping track, all 7 of Avon’s claims about
this nail polish turned out to be true! There is no false advertising
whatsoever here. And that really surprised me as I was expecting at least one
or two of the statements to be false; instead I found out that this is a
fantastic nail polish, as promised. You don’t need a base coat, the formula is creamy and
rich, nails feel so smooth and even, and it’s terrifically long-lasting!
Although, you might want to use a top coat just to protect this polish from
getting tiny scratches since it’s more matte than glossy. I literally cannot
express just how great this nail polish is, so it’s no surprise that I do
absolutely recommend it!

This is another one of my monthly Avon orders; this was a recent order, placed in March 2022. As you can see, there's a moisturiser tester (that I won't be reviewing because I can't say what it's like in the long-term), three perfumes and a nail polish.
I wish I had the expertise to review these lovely perfumes, but I don't, so, for now, I will only be reviewing the nail polish.

So, this is the second and final review for today! It is the
I ❤ Revolution Mystical Mermaids Lipstick, in the
shade Mythical Tale.
This was my first Revolution product, way before I even found out
about their official site and all the brands under the Revolution Beauty
umbrella. As I was browsing Notino for the first time, I noticed this brand
that had all manners of interesting, cute, and quirky products, and it had an
interesting name: I ❤ Revolution. I actually had a tough
time choosing between all of them! I immediately fell in love with this brand!
But how good was this lipstick?
First, the packaging: it is beautiful! It’s metallic silver with a
cap that’s light blue and has a fish scales motif printed on it. On the base of
the tube is the name of the brand, printed in metallic pink letters. There is a
coloured part on the bottom of the lipstick that matches the colour of the
bullet so, of course, no need to open it in order to swatch it. I was really
blown away by both the packaging and the shape of the bullet, but more on the
bullet shortly.
Ingredients: coconut oil and vitamin E for nourishment, and no
trace of parabens. The scent was pleasant and tasty, like coconuts, but it has,
sadly, faded over time. I can still detect a bit of coconut, but it is not as
strong as it used to be. The expiration date is 12 months after opening.

Pigmentation is fairly intense, but it could definitely be more
vibrant or intense. Still, it looks very pretty on my lips so perhaps it would
be too garish if it were extremely pigmented. This is a nice purple-mauve shade
that looks great in winter.

The texture is semi-matte, so there is a bit of gloss. It both
looks and feels really soft, the formula is creamy but oh so light, and this
lipstick doesn’t dry out my lips one bit. All of that makes this lipstick truly
comfortable to wear! Although, given the coconut oil, it could feel a bit more
hydrating.
In terms of longevity, it is relatively long-lasting; it might
disappear from the centre of the lips over a couple of hours but it’s not
terrible. And as many other creamy lipsticks, it doesn’t survive meals or
drinks. So, touch ups are necessary after eating. The relatively poor
performance over time was a bit of a let-down, honestly! But removing it was
super easy and done in a matter of seconds; just one swipe with micellar water
and it’s removed!
Now, I have to talk about the bullet, as it is fairly unique, from
what I’ve seen. This isn’t the only I ❤ Revolution lipstick to have this
shape of the bullet, there is another lipstick that I have that has this exact
shape. It is not only deeply curved to make it as easy as possible to follow
the contours of your lips, but it is also sharply pointed at the tip for
incredibly easy defining of the cupid’s bow. So, applying the lipstick was
incredibly easy and precise, and I finished applying it more quickly
than with other lipsticks. The bullet is also beautiful in design; it is
embossed with large fish scales, a design that matches the cap of the tube.
Conclusion: I honestly love this lipstick. Sure, I have found
other, more pigmented lipsticks since but if I want a nice, subtle wash of
colour on my lips that isn’t your standard pink or red, this is the right
choice. I love how buttery soft and gentle it feels, and of course, the design!
The design is terrific, it really sells the idea that this is a lipstick that
might have once belonged to a mermaid, what with the pastel blue cap, and the
fish scales motif present all over. I also really love the shape of the bullet.
The negatives are that it could be more pigmented, even though I like it like
this, and that it is not terribly long-lasting nor at all food-proof. I also
feel sad that the coconut scent has faded. Even with those negatives, I would recommend this lipstick!
