Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick [E538A - Just Garnet] Review

Okay, now something for the lips! Like the Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick, in the shade E538A/Just Garnet.
 
I honestly wasn’t originally planning to buy this lipstick but BIPA had 30% off makeup for one of their weekend specials, and this lipstick cost less than 2 euros. So naturally I just had to buy it, even if I didn’t really need another red lipstick!
 

 
 
 
Packaging: very simple; black plastic with a clear cap that fits really nicely and it clicks nicely when you open it. Since the cap is clear you can see the colour of the bullet so that you don’t have to open it to swatch it. The info sticker is located on the underside of the packaging.
 
 
 
 

Ingredients: there’s a ton of nourishing ingredients, like: petrolatum, vitamin E, macadamia  oil (as phytosteryl macadamiate) and Aloe barbadensis leaf juice. Also, soy (Glycine soja) oil! As usual for WnW, there are no parabens. The scent is subtle, and aromatic. It smells somewhat like roses but it’s also got a tinge of bitterness. The expiration date is 18 months after opening.
 

 
Pigmentation: it’s intensely pigmented, and one swipe is plenty enough to get full coverage. The colour is really gorgeous; it’s a cool toned red with some purple undertones. It looks more berry-toned on my lips than red. I really freaking love how this colour looks on me! It is definitely garnet-like! Beautiful!
 
 
 
The texture is satin, and, as the name implies, it does look silky. It feels really soft on my lips so it’s no surprise that it’s not at all drying. Also, it is so comfortable to wear for hours!
 

Staying power: excellent, if you are not eating or drinking too much. If you do eat, especially if it’s greasy/oily food, the lipstick will disappear from all parts of the lips except the outer rim. So it ended looking like I had lined my lips with lip liner after I had lunch. Although, the creamier the lipstick, the less resistant it is to disappearing during meals. So it’s not a big surprise that this happened. And it’s not really a disappointment. It did not feather or smudge at all after more than 5 hours of wear. Removal is super easy, with no staining at all.
 
 
Conclusion: I knew that this lipstick would be comfortable to wear; what I didn’t expect is that it would look this gorgeous! I am kind of in love with it! The colour is rich and vibrant, it feels hella comfortable and it’s got a lot of hydrating ingredients so that lips stay nicely hydrated during the day. The only real downside is that it gets destroyed by food, I can’t really find anything else to complain about. I would definitely recommend this lipstick, in any colour, but especially this garnet-like red, since it’s just awesome, and the price is very affordable.
