Wet n Wild Perfect Pout Gel Lip Liner [E655A - Think Flamingos] Review
By Maychiri's Thoughts - March 02, 2022
The second review for today, Wet n Wild's Perfect Pout Gel
Lip Liner, in the shade E655A/Think Flamingos.
This one, I admit, was bought mostly because of the name of
the shade, since it mentions flamingos, and flamingos are one of my all-time
favourite birds, and animals in general. I really, really like flamingos! But
it also looked like it would be a beautiful coral shade. And it was 66% off, so
it was even cheaper than the previous one. So, let’s see what it’s like!
Packaging: same as the other Perfect Pout, simple black
glossy plastic with white lettering and a cap that matches the colour of the
liner. The outer packaging is identical too: glossy paper packaging with a ton
of information about the lip liner. The liner itself has info about the country
of origin, expiration date, and the name of the shade.
Ingredients: vitamin E for nourishment, no parabens. The
scent is basically non-existent, just like the other Perfect Pout liner.
Expiration date: 12 months after opening.
This liner is terrifically precise, but that is to be
expected from an automatic liner. Pigmentation is even more intense than Never
Petal Down’s, at least it seems so to me! So it’s incredibly pigmented, and a
single thin coat will more than suffice if you are wearing this liner solo (like I am in the pictures). I
was blown away by the intensity of the pigment in this liner! Application is
ridiculously easy; it glides like butter across my lips, there was no tugging
or pulling at all!
Colour: bright light coral that is more pink than orange. The
colour looks paler in photos than in real life, it looks much more vibrant when
you look at it for real. This colour I think looks beautiful on my terribly
pale skin because I feel that makes the vibrancy of this liner even more
pronounced and makes it look even brighter.
Texture is matte, and a tiny bit silky. Like Never Petal Down, Think Flamingos also looks and feels very soft. But I do think that Think
Flamingos feels just a tad bit less soft. The difference is almost negligible
though. After 6 hours or more it still feels soft, which means that it doesn’t
dry out lips. Awesome! It’s really comfortable to wear for hours on end.
This liner is extremely long-lasting, just like Never Petal Down. It doesn’t look any different at the end of the day when you want to
remove it compared to when it’s freshly applied, at least on my lips it’s like
that. And it got through meals without any noticeable changes or fading, I
didn’t have to fix it after having lunch. Removal is super easy, just one swipe
with micellar water is enough.
Sharpening is as easy as most automatic liners, just don’t
apply too much pressure while rotating the sharpener or it will break since it
is soft.
Conclusion: another fantastic lip liner from Wet n Wild! It’s
comfortable to wear, super long-lasting and the colour is both intense and
gorgeous. And the colour really does kinda look like flamingos, but it would
look even more like flamingos if it were a bit more pink. There are really no
negatives aside from the fact that it, too, is just too small for me, as it’s
0.25g. I would like it to be 0.5g at least so that it doesn’t get used up too
quickly. Again, that’s a really minor thing though. Everything else: top notch!
Absolute recommendation!
