Wet n Wild Perfect Pout Gel Lip Liner [E654C - Never Petal Down] Review

Hiya,
the first of two reviews I have for y'all today is the Wet n
Wild Perfect Pout Gel Lip Liner, in the shade E654C/Never Petal Down.
I first bought this lip liner on a whim; I saw it in the
clearance section at BIPA and it was 50% off. It looked like a pretty nice pink automatic
lip liner, but is it really that good? Let’s see!
Starting with the packaging: the liner itself looks sleek
and simple, it’s just black glossy plastic with white lettering. The cap
matches the colour of the liner perfectly, so no need to open it just to see
what the colour looks like. Aside from all that, this liner came in glossy
paper packaging that looks like plastic, bit don’t worry, it’s just paper! All
the important information regarding this liner was located on the sides of the
outer packaging; the liner itself has only the critically important info on it
(weight, name of shade, expiration date, country of origin).
Ingredients: there’s only vitamin E for nourishment; there
are no parabens. The scent is almost non-existent, if it smells like anything I
wasn’t able to detect it. The expiration date is 12 months after opening.
This is an automatic lip liner, so it’s incredibly precise,
as expected. And if it becomes dull just sharpen it with an automatic liner sharpener!
The pigmentation is excellent, it surprised me just how pigmented this liner
was! And applying it was a breeze: it just slid across my lips without any
tugging or pulling, depositing pigment evenly. Seriously, it was buttery
smooth!
The colour looks like a slightly darker rose with bluish
undertones. I really like how it looks on my skintone and lips!
Texture: matte to very slightly silky. It looks soft on my
lips and indeed, it also feels soft. Now, it’s not the softest feeling lip
liner out there, but it feels very comfortable. Even after hours of wearing it my
lips still felt fine, not dried at all, and there was no cracking of the lip
liner. So I would say that it is very comfortable to wear day in day out.
Longevity: it is extremely long-lasting! Like, after a whole
day it still looked exactly like when i first applied it, no fading or cracking
at all! It even made it through me eating lunch and snacks after lunch without smudging
or fading from the centre of the lips. That also makes it pretty suitable for
wearing under masks. And removing it is super easy using micellar water.
Sharpening is really easy as long as you don’t apply too
much pressure while turning the sharpener, but it’s like that with all
automatic liners.
Conclusion: this is one excellent little liner! I love it to
bits and I keep using it when I need a rose shade to use under lipsticks, even
though I have other lip liners similar in shade. It’s really brilliant: the
pigmentation, the colour, how comfortable it feels; it’s got it all! Well,
almost all: the only downside is that it’s just not big enough in my opinion,
0.25g is not enough. I wish it were 0.5g instead! But that’s really nit-picking,
especially at this price point (barely 2€)! Absolute recommendation!
