I might be dying from struggling with PMDD hard currently, but I wanted to showcase these two products for weeks now! These two products - as you will see - are quite unique, each in their own right!

But, what's the theme? Well, NYX! One brand that I simply adore. Yes, it is not perfect, and they do have flop products, but so many of my faves come from NYX, so I love when I can try out new stuff from them. This is true right now, in 2025, and it was true back when I bought these products, a couple of years ago. Don't worry - I preserved my initial thoughts from back then, so that they aren't affected by any spoilage.
So, a little story: NYX used to have physical stores in Croatia. This is actually how I discovered the brand; I would go downtown to browse clothes and makeup and every time I would go back to the tram station, I would pass by this wonderful makeup store called NYX. I remember being in awe of all the makeup they had. It was like paradise to a younger me! But the prices were always just a bit above my comfortable price range. Sigh...
BUT, I said: 'used to have'. Past tense. At some point, they decided to close up shop (physically), I think because they weren't earning enough profit. And I guess the Pandemic didn't help matters. So they did the only right thing right before closing shops: throw a mega discount party! EVERYTHING was on sale - no exceptions! Everything had to go. And the discounts were gigantic! So I decided to leap at the opportunity and go for the last few times I could, while stocks last. While I could still afford the things I wanted.
This time, I went back for something I wanted to buy the previous time I was there, but skipped. It kept swirling around in my mid, haunting me: black. lip. set. I felt such intense FOMO that I went back soon just for that set! Aha! - there it was, waiting for me (because who would wear black lips)! Perfect! And then I also found this little colourful treat kept in a separate area of the shop - a lip pencil. I'd already bought quite a few Slim Lip Pencils before this one and loved all of them, so I knew that buying this little pumpkin pencil would be a safe choice. Soon thereafter, all the NYX physical shops closed, so I guess you could say I was in the nick of time. Good decision to go back! Now I finally have my ultra awesome (hopefully) black lip set!

A bit of colour and some lack of colour, perfect balance this week! I cannot wait to share these reviews with you guys, I am super pumped! Oh, and the black lipstick and lip liner are still available, btw!
